How 3D Asset Market Works

3D Asset Market helps buyers discover talented creators and high-quality 3D models, while enabling sellers to build their own storefronts and showcase their work to potential customers.

For Buyers

1. Find the Right Model

Use the catalog, categories, search, and seller pages to find an asset for your project.

2. Explore the Product

On the product page, you can:

  • view the main and additional images;
  • open interactive 3D previews;
  • check the file format, software, version, polygon count, and license terms;
  • read ratings and reviews from other users;
  • visit the creator’s profile and explore their other work.

The interactive 3D model loads only after you click a thumbnail marked with the “3D” icon, so it does not slow down the initial page load.

3. Contact the Seller

Click “Contact Seller,” describe your project, and specify the required format, license, and timeline.

The purchase, payment, and delivery of the original files are arranged directly with the seller. The public GLB displayed on the product page is intended only for interactive viewing and is not the original file being sold.

4. Leave a Review

Registered users can rate a product and write a review. New reviews are moderated before publication.

For Sellers

1. Submit an Application

Create an account and complete the seller application. Provide your studio name, website, contact details, and preferred plan.

Submitting an application does not automatically grant seller privileges. The application must first be reviewed by an administrator.

2. Get Approved

Once approved, your account is assigned the Seller role and the selected plan. You will then gain access to the dashboard for managing your profile and products.

3. Set Up Your Profile

Add:

  • your studio name or creator name;
  • a description;
  • contact details;
  • an avatar;
  • a profile cover.

Seller categories are generated from published products. This means that one creator can list models in multiple categories.

4. Add a Product

Sellers complete their own product listings, select categories, add specifications, upload images, and provide interactive 3D previews.

Each 3D preview consists of two files:

  • a 2D cover displayed in the gallery;
  • a GLB file that loads when the preview is opened.

Images and 3D previews can be arranged in the desired gallery order.

5. Pass Moderation

Every new or updated product is submitted to an administrator for review. It will not appear in the public catalog until it has been approved.

The administrator reviews the description, images, categories, and 3D files. If a product is rejected, the seller receives the reason and can update the listing.

Once approved, the product appears:

  • in the main catalog;
  • in the selected categories;
  • on the seller’s page;
  • in search results.

Image and 3D Preview Requirements

Seller Avatar

The avatar appears in the website header, seller cards, and the seller’s public profile.

Recommended dimensions: 512 × 512 px.
Minimum recommended dimensions: 300 × 300 px.
Shape: Square.
Formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP.
Maximum file size: 8 MB.

JPG or WebP is recommended. Position the logo or face in the center—the avatar is displayed as a circle on the website, so the corners of the image will be cropped.

Seller Profile and Card Cover

The “Profile Cover” field controls the header image displayed on the seller’s public profile. The same image is also used on the seller’s catalog card.

Recommended dimensions: 1600 × 500 px.
Enhanced option: 1920 × 600 px.
Formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP.
Maximum file size: 8 MB.

Use a wide horizontal image. Keep important objects near the center, as the edges may be cropped on different screen sizes.

Do not place important text, logos, or details too close to the edges.

Main Product Image

The main product image is used in the catalog and is the first image displayed on the product page.

Recommended dimensions: 1600 × 900 px.
Minimum recommended dimensions: 1200 × 675 px.
Aspect ratio: 16:9.
Formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP.
Maximum file size: 8 MB.

Show the model prominently against a clean background without unnecessary text. Leave a small amount of space around the object so the card remains visually balanced when the image is automatically cropped.

Additional Product Images

You can add up to 12 additional 2D images to a product.

The same specifications are recommended:

Recommended dimensions: 1600 × 900 px.
Aspect ratio: 16:9.
Maximum file size: 8 MB per file.

Additional images can show:

  • front, side, and rear views;
  • close-up details;
  • the model’s wireframe;
  • materials and textures;
  • configuration variants;
  • an example of the model used in a scene.

Try to use the same aspect ratio throughout the gallery for smoother and more consistent image transitions.

2D Cover for a 3D Preview

Every GLB file must have a separate 2D cover. It is displayed in the gallery before the interactive preview is launched.

Recommended dimensions: 1600 × 900 px.
Minimum recommended dimensions: 1200 × 675 px.
Formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP.
Maximum file size: 8 MB.

Ideally, the image should match the position and appearance of the model that users will see after launching the 3D preview.

Interactive GLB Previews

You can add up to 4 interactive 3D previews to a single product.

Format: GLB 2.0.
Maximum size per GLB file: 50 MB.
Recommended size for fast loading: 5–20 MB.

The GLB must be:

  • self-contained;
  • free of external textures and files;
  • optimized for browser viewing;
  • free of Draco compression;
  • free of Meshopt compression;
  • free of KTX2/Basis textures;
  • free of external decoders.

All textures and materials must be embedded in a single GLB file.

Before uploading, we recommend that you:

  • remove hidden and unnecessary objects;
  • apply transformations;
  • reduce an excessive polygon count;
  • reduce the resolution of excessively large textures;
  • check all materials;
  • position the model at the center of the scene;
  • verify its scale and orientation;
  • open the exported GLB locally and confirm that it works without additional files.

Do not upload the original model intended for delivery to the buyer as an interactive preview. Create a separate, optimized demonstration version.
